Dale Lunt, Principal
I started at Highland High School in 1996. I spent six years there as an assistant principal and then moved to Desert Ridge Junior High where I spent 10 years as the Assistant Principal.
I started my time at Oak Tree in September of 2013 as the Interim Principal. I was named Principal of Oak Tree Elementary in April 2014.
My wife and I have been married for over 30 plus years and we are the parents of 4 children (all K-12 GPS graduates) and grandparents to 11 grandchildren. I am an Arizona native and our family has been in Gilbert for 30 plus years. We enjoy watching and participating in sports, serving in our community, attending plays, and enjoying the beautiful Arizona outdoors.
Oak Tree Elementary School is a community of successful learners. This includes our students, their families, and our teachers and staff. We value literacy in reading and math and we strive to be motivated and dedicated in our academic efforts.
I enjoy working in partnership with our families to help our students to be successful learners and brilliant leaders. Additionally, in 2017 and 2023, Oak Tree was awarded the Arizona A+ School of Excellence by the Arizona Education Foundation.
