Teacher Spotlight - Mary Love, Kindergarten | Schedule a Tour!

Hello! I am Mary Love, and I have the wonderful privilege of teaching Kindergarten here at Oak Tree Elementary. With 33 years of teaching experience, I still find so much joy in the classroom every single day.

My favorite thing about teaching this age group is their pure honesty and the genuine excitement they show when they learn something new. My students always seem to know exactly how to make me laugh and smile!

In Kindergarten, no two days are ever the same. I find a "favorite moment" in every single day—whether it’s a hug, a wave in the hallway, a sweet compliment, or a handmade note left on my desk. It is a truly wonderful feeling to know that my current and former students are thinking of me.

My best advice is to encourage independence and trust that your child is safe and well cared for every day. If you do just one thing at home: read to them. You will be amazed at the knowledge and growth they gain simply from sharing a story with you.

When I’m not at school, I love spending quality time with my family, traveling, reading, and working on puzzles. And if you ask my students what Mrs. Love's favorite thing is, they won't hesitate to tell you: it’s donuts!
